UCI Esports World Championships 2023
Behind the scenes: I recently provided camera systems for the UCI Esports World Championships 2023 being held in Glasgow, broadcast live on Eurosport, for Cameron.
Hosted at The Engine Works, the event saw athletes compete on the Zwift virtual cycling platform with users from around the world in front of a live studio audience.
Using the Boxx Meridian with the Sony PMW-400, as well as supplying a wireless comms solution, I was able to assist in capturing the event for UCI and Visit Scotland as well as supplying camera relays for the venue.
BBC Scotland - A View from the Terrace

CBBC Gym Stars at Glasgow 2018
I was filming last week with Drummer Television for the next season of CBBC’s Gym Stars. The series goes behind the scenes of the lives of some of the UK’s most promising young gymnasts.
We followed two promising junior gymnasts and their teammates as they competed at the Glasgow 2018 European Championships. Tune into Gym Stars Series 2 on CBBC early next year to find out how they got on.

Andy Murray Live for Sky Sports
This week I worked alongside Sky Sports and Lagardére Productions to produce feature content for Andy Murray Live at the SSE Hydro, which was broadcast live on Sky Sports 3 and streamed worldwide.
Several packages were filmed and produced throughout the day for the evenings live broadcast, which included interviews with British No.1 Andy Murray, Jamie Murray, Tim Henman and Grigor Dimitrov.
Andy Murray Live, hosted at the 10,000 capacity SSE Hydro, is the brainchild of Murray, who wanted to build a legacy tennis event in the UK which raises valuable funds charities including Unicef and Glasgow-based charity Young People’s Futures.
SPFL Highlights for BBC Alba
Filming Motherwell vs. Dundee Utd from the gantry at Fir Park for mneTV and BBC Alba.
The multi-camera OB is broadcast after the match on BBC Alba, with post match interviews and game highlights being provided to both Sky Sports and STV.
Channel 4 Racing – Scottish Grand National
In the studio at the weekend for Channel 4 Racing and IMG, broadcasting The Morning Line and the Scottish Grand National live from Ayr Racecourse.
Scottish Open 2015
I spent a few days in Gullane, East Lothian, this week covering the 2015 Scottish Open golf tournament for a range of international broadcasters.
Working for Mallard Productions I used the PMW-400 covering press conferences and capturing some of the top names in golf on the practice range and playing the Pro-Am competition. Players at the tournament included Justin Rose, Phil Mickelson and Colin Montgomerie.
Footage was edited on site and immediately delivered to the client to be distributed to broadcasters worldwide.
Channel 4 - Scottish Grand National
I was back working with IMG this weekend for Channel 4 Racing at the Scottish Grand National, broadcasting live from the studio at Ayr Racecourse.
World Youth Netball
I filmed over 100 hours of netball at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow covering the World Youth Netball Championships 2013 with Cameron Presentations. Footage was broadcast on screens in and around the arena and streamed online to a worldwide audience.
