The Mourning of Queen Elizabeth II

I was commissioned by Getty Images to capture a moment in history as the nation mourned the death of Queen Elizabeth II at the Palace of Holyrood House in Edinburgh, the Queen’s official residence in Scotland, and the Scottish Parliament.

My Chemical Romance at the OVO Hydro

Live, in-person events have been making a welcome comeback in recent months. But it only really hit home from me this week when I was stood in the pit operating cameras at a packed out OVO Hydro for My Chemical Romance.

Great to see live music well and truly back!

BBC One Show

Did anyone spot my cameo on The One Show on BBC One last week?

It was working with Mallard Productions and BBC Productions on this One Big Thank You feature for Barry in Paisley, who has done so much to support his local community.

From collecting shopping to cleaning up the local park and raising funds for local food banks, it was great to surprise Barry and give him the recognition he deserves.

Scottish Cup Coverage

Providing single camera coverage of Round 1 of the William Hill Scottish Cup for QTV Sports and the Scottish FA from Edinburgh.

Mànran Live Stream

I recently worked with Todd Weller Films providing equipment and crewing for the live stream of Mànran’s 10 Year Anniversary concert, broadcast live from the Barrowlands Ballroom in Glasgow to an international audience.

The events and music industries have been so hard hit in recent months, and it was a pleasure to see that it is possible to pull off a great live performance like this.

Baku 2017: Highlights from the Opening Ceremony

The Opening Ceremony of the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games took place in Baku, Azerbaijan on the 12th May 2017.

The spectacular Opening Ceremony, ‘Knowledge’, tells a universal story of peace and hope, and celebrates the enormous contribution Islamic civilisation has made to everything around us.

After relocating to Baku in January 2017 it was a privilege to be part of the Ceremonies team, producing and managing video content for the Launch Ceremony, Regional Events Programme, and the Opening and Closing Ceremonies.

Video content was displayed on an 85x45m projection screen, lit by over 130 projectors, as well as being broadcast live to over 30 nations worldwide.

Baku 2017: Launch Ceremony

On 5th April 2017, the Journey from the Caspian Launch Ceremony took place at the Stone Chronicle Museum in Baku.

Ilham Aliyev, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan presented water from the Caspian Sea to children from all over Azerbaijan. They will then take the water back to their regions as part of the Journey from the Caspian. This water represents a memento, from Baku and the Islamic Games to the regions of Azerbaijan.

The Journey will visit 15 more iconic locations throughout Azerbaijan, travelling 3000km over 37 days before returning to the Baku Olympic Stadium for the Opening Ceremony of the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games.

As well as producing video content for the ceremony its self, I also provided quick turnaround highlights and multi-camera edits for distribution to broadcasters and media in over 50 nations worldwide.

Andy Murray Live for Sky Sports

This week I worked alongside Sky Sports and Lagardére Productions to produce feature content for Andy Murray Live at the SSE Hydro, which was broadcast live on Sky Sports 3 and streamed worldwide.

Several packages were filmed and produced throughout the day for the evenings live broadcast, which included interviews with British No.1 Andy Murray, Jamie Murray, Tim Henman and Grigor Dimitrov.

Andy Murray Live, hosted at the 10,000 capacity SSE Hydro, is the brainchild of Murray, who wanted to build a legacy tennis event in the UK which raises valuable funds charities including Unicef and Glasgow-based charity Young People’s Futures.
